The relationship between photosynthesis and respiration is that in photosynthesis, sugar is produced from energy whereas in respiration, sugar is burned for energy. Secondly, in photosynthesis, energy is stored but in respiration, energy is released. Photosynthesis occurs only in cells that have chloroplast while respiration occurs in most cells. Both occur in plants.
